FIA WEC 2019/2020 V0.95 released
We are glad to aanounce the release of V0.95, the next update of our FIA WEC 2019/2020 mod for rFactor 2. It comes with a small new feature, but primarily a lot of improvements.
Ferrari 488 GTE Evo
This will sadly be the final update to the Ferrari, as we will be replacing it with Studio 397’s version soon after it is released. We have updated the Ferrari with new BOP settings and we’ve merged the visual tuning options with the BOP settings for easier selection of low, medium and high downforce spec. This makes sure we can have the tuning options for all cars in our mod identical to each other. For this reason, the Ferrari got a “Position Lights” option, but as that is not available for this Ferrari, it’s set to “N/A”.

Opponent Classes
We have revised the names of our Opponent classes, which you use to select which cars you want to select as opponents in the Settings menu before the race. “WEC 19/20” contains all 30 regular WEC entries, “WEC 19/20 <class>” contains all regular WEC entries per class and “WEC Add-on <class> contains all additional cars sorted per class.
We also included a new feature: opponent classes per race. For every race of this season’s calendar that’s already been driven, we added an opponent class to easily select the real grid for that race. The #3 Rebellion is added for Silverstone, #78 Proton Competition added to Shanghai, #21 DragonSpeed and #63 Corvette added and both LNT cars removed for Lone Star Le Mans, et cetera. We will add the Spa grid after the entry list has been confirmed.
Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps
t0p5ecret has finished reworking the AI behavior at Spa-Francorchamps and we are very, very happy with the results. We now have different driving lines for the prototypes and the GTE cars and skipping formation lap and fast rolling starts are now working. Beware, the track limits have also been reworked, so you might get warnings for cutting the track where you didn’t get them before.
Balance of Performance
We have reworked the BOP settings for all cars at all included tracks, Sebring and Le Mans. Along with that, we have given the prototypes different fender settings at high, medium and low downforce tracks, providing more realistic aero setups. We also added BOP settings for the Grand Prix layout of the Nürburgring, which was used for the 6 Hours of Nürburgring in WEC from 2015 until 2017. We will add BOP settings for the famous 24 Hours layout in a future update.
Small fixes
We have also made a few smaller fixes, which are listed in the full changelog on Steam.
